One of my favourite acts at The Great Escape was a band I only discovered the week before when browsing the line-up, South African indie-poppers Al Bairre. Their set was really fun and energetic, and even the song they warned us was a bit slower got the people at the front pogo-ing. Their best song is their current single, Bungalow. If you liked Alphabeat in their more indie, less disco phase, you should enjoy this poptastic treat. If you like what you hear, they're playing a London gig at The Bedroom Bar in Shoreditch tomorrow.
